Bella studied music at Loyola in New Orleans, was a choral scholar at Cambridge University and studied postgraduate at the University of London (SOAS and Goldsmiths). After graduating, she sang, played and recorded with a number of musicians and producers while working as a journalist and producer herself, primarily with the BBC. She subsequently set up her own recording studio where she writes, records, produces and mixes all styles of music – orchestral scores, choral music, jazz, pop, rock, folk and hip hop.
Bella has written extensively for television. Her music to picture credits include music for the five-part series ‘Rivers with Griff Rhys Jones’ (BBC1/Modern TV), the BAFTA-winning ITV live action/animation series ‘Bookaboo’ (ITV/Happy Films) and the BAFTA nominated 'Ross Kemp in Afghanistan', as well as his series on pirates and gangs. She is also currently recording two albums of music, alongside collaborating with a number of other writers and producers on various recorded and live projects.
